Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
This policy covers uniweb.io, the website of the open-source Uniweb framework. The Uniweb app, at uniweb.app, has its own privacy policy.
What the site keeps in your browser
uniweb.io sets no cookies. Your browser keeps three small things in its storage so the site works, and none of them identifies you or leaves your browser:
- the light or dark look, if you choose one;
- a copy of the site's search index, so a search doesn't download it again;
- a count that keeps an open tab from reloading itself more than twice after the site is updated.
What the site measures
To learn which pages help and which ads work, each page you load reports to our host's analytics:
- the page, and the site that linked you to it;
- how long the page was in front of you;
- a link you follow to another site;
- copying the install command, or a prompt for a coding agent.
When the address you arrived at carries campaign tags (utm_source and the like) or an ad's click identifier (fbclid from Meta, twclid from X), these reports carry them too, so a visit can be credited to its campaign.
Our host counts these reports by page, by day and by campaign, and keeps no record of each visit. To count a visitor once a day without a cookie, it makes a one-way hash of your IP address, your browser's description and a key it replaces every day, so the hash can't be matched from one day to the next.
When you arrive from an ad on X
If you came to uniweb.io from an ad on X and then copy the install command or a prompt, our host tells X Corp. that the ad led to it, so X can measure its ads. It sends X:
- the ad's click identifier;
- your IP address and your browser's description;
- the address of the page, without its query string;
- the time.
Our host keeps the click identifier only until the end of that day. Nothing goes to X for a visitor who didn't come from an X ad, and the site loads no code from X. What X does with what it receives is set out in X's privacy policy.
The assistant
The assistant in the site's search dialog answers questions from this site's pages. What you type there is sent to our host, which answers it with an AI model. Please don't include personal information in a question.
Fonts, pictures and code
Your browser fetches the site's fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and your browser's description, as with any request to a server (Google's privacy policy). Pictures and the site's code are served by Uniweb. The search box searches in your browser, so what you type in it isn't sent anywhere.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. The site keeps no profile of its visitors, so there is usually nothing to find. To make a request, or to ask about this policy, contact us.
